My favourite quote is ‘Life is a journey, not a destination’ and in my teaching career I can honestly say that I have been on an incredible journey of learning many new things and I am still learning.
I am passionate about teaching, particularly Literacy, Maths, and The Arts. During my time here at Morrinsville Intermediate I have been fortunate to have made many life-long friends, have enjoyed working alongside some great teachers, experienced two school exchange trips to Japan and one to Noumea and I thoroughly enjoy teaching a great bunch of students from the Morrinsville area.
I look forward to meeting with you all.
Teacher Room 2
My name is Reuben O’Sullivan and I am now in my third year teaching at Morrinsville Intermediate School.
I was raised in Edgecumbe in the Eastern Bay of Plenty, before moving to Ireland where I lived for four years, finally ending up in Morrinsville by 2010. Here I attended the college and later the University of Waikato, studying a Bachelor of Teaching.
I have spent many years leading at kids holiday camps, and for the last four years I have been actively involved locally as a Youth Worker at my church. I am very passionate about seeing youth reach their potential, overcome challenges, and do well in life.
My interests include music, performance, woodworking, hiking, water skiing, travel, and language.
I look forward to meeting you.
Teacher Room 3
My name is Doug Ashley-Miller and this is my second year teaching at Morrinsville Intermediate.
I was born in Auckland and have lived all over the North Island and on Niue. After completing my degree in Arts and Education at the University of Auckland I relocated to Wellington before meeting my wife and settling back down in the Waikato. I now live in Taupiri with my wife and four children.
I am really looking forward to my first year at Morrinsville Intermediate and can't wait to meet you all!
