My favourite quote is ‘Life is a journey, not a destination’ and in my teaching career I can honestly say that I have been on an incredible journey of learning many new things and I am still learning.

I am still passionate about teaching, particularly Literacy, Maths, and The Arts. During my time here at Morrinsville Intermediate I have been fortunate to have made many life-long friends, have enjoyed working alongside some great teachers, experienced two school exchange trips to Japan and thoroughly enjoyed teaching a great bunch of students from the Morrinsville area.

I look forward to meeting with you all.

My name is Kylie Wells and am born and bred in Morrinsville. I came through Morrinsville Intermediate and College before gaining my Bachelor of Education through Massey University in Palmerston North. I then returned back to my home town where I taught for nearly 7 years at David Street School before marrying a local and having my own two beautiful girls. I went on to teach locally in a variety of roles and have spent the past 7 years teaching at Springdale School.

I am actively involved in many aspects of our beautiful town, particularly in sports where I play basketball, volleyball and netball. My children currently attend David Street School and my step-son attends Morrinsville College. When I am not teaching your wonderful children I am normally outdoors with my whanau enjoying bushwalks and bike riding. I love to participate in adventure races and team events with friends and enjoy challenging myself and my students to try new things and give everything their best effort.

This is my second year teaching at Morrinsville Intermediate and I look forward to getting to know all the new students in 2018 and watch them grow as learners before heading off to College.

Feel free to pop in to Room 4 and introduce yourself, I look forward to meeting you.
