Nga Mihi Nui Kia Koutou Katoa, Warm greetings to you all

My name is James Higgins and this is my 8th year teaching at Morrinsville Intermediate. I have previously completed 3 years of primary teaching at David Street Primary School. I completed my Bachelor of teaching at the University of Waikato in 2008. I am Waikato born and bred and have been brought up in a rural background with my parents being farmers.
I am very passionate about teaching at Morrinsville Intermediate. I really enjoy the positive vibe and support you gain from the wider community. At Morrinsville Intermediate when not teaching I am normally found coaching and playing sport or supporting other teachers with sports organisation.

My interests outside of school are rugby refereeing, horse racing, travelling and spending time at the beach. I really enjoy teaching at Morrinsville Intermediate because of the positive nature of all our students.
