Kia Ora, I am incredibly honoured and excited to be teaching at Morrinsville Intermediate. I completed my Bachelor of Teaching at The University of Waikato.
I grew up in the Morrinsville area on a dairy farm and now live in Morrinsville with my husband. My interests include the outdoors, physical education and wellbeing, and quality time with family.
I am very passionate about teaching and inspiring young adolescents to achieve to the best of their abilities. I look forward to meeting you all and connecting with the Morrinsville Intermediate community.

I have been teaching at Morrinsville Intermediate since the start of 2019. I have over 15 years experience working alongside learners of this age group, having previously taught at Matamata Intermediate and Cambridge Middle School. Added to this, I have taught students in the outback of Austraila, at Thames High School, and a few primary schools. Teaching has always been my passion.
I hail from Thames and am a Waikato girl through and through. I have studied at Otago and Auckland Universities and hold a Bachelor of Teaching from Waikato University. When I am not doing school work, you will find me at the beach, walking, reading or having a laugh with friends.
I look forward to meeting you all during the year!

Teacher Room 10
Kia Ora, my name is Shane Day; I have lived in Waikato for a big part of my life. I have two daughters, one attends Morrinsville College and the other in her first year at University. I am looking forward to the move to Mighty Morrinsville. I have been teaching for 20 years, previously teaching at Berkley for ten years.
A strength I bring to the classroom is building positive relationships with my students and developing the skills to manage their own behaviour and learning. My greatest joy as a teacher is watching students' confidence and self-belief grow. I encourage my students to discuss, share opinions and express their ideas. I take pride in creating a classroom environment where students are engaged in many learning opportunities while allowing students to flourish as individuals.
I look forward to meeting you all.
