General Information

ia ora koutou,

My name is Josephine Jacobsen and I am looking forward to becoming part of the RTLB team in the South Waikato area next year. I was born and bred in Putaruru, and began my teaching career at Cambridge Street School (before the EDI) in Putaruru. I have been fortunate to teach in a variety of settings and roles: town, city and rural schools from Year 0 - Year 8 in the South Waikato, Bay of Plenty and Matamata Piako districts. I also enjoyed participating and working as a supervisor in Early Childhood education while my own four children were young. I currently teach at Kuranui School Tirau, and have just finished six months as the Acting Principal while our Principal was on study leave. I have a special interest in catering for individual needs, helping students with behaviour concerns, accelerating student achievement and providing a safe, secure environment for students to thrive in. A focus on this and finding reasons why some students struggle to progress in their literacy learning was a key focus in my final paper for my Master's degree in 2013. Outside of education I enjoy spending time with my husband and four children who are aged between 12 and 18 - especially following their sporting interests, going mountain biking, tramping, fishing and relaxing at the beach over summer. I look forward to meeting and working with you all. Ngā mihi nui.

Ngā mihi nui,
Josephine

General Information

Hi, my name is Raewyn Ensor. I joined the Southern team in June 2016 and work out of the Putaruru College office. Prior to that I was working as an RTLB in South Auckland in Cluster 13 (Pukekohe/Papakura), for three and a half years. Previously I was a junior classroom teacher in a range of mostly rural primary schools in the Waikato and Bay of Plenty areas. I am originally from Tirau, so it is good to be back working in my home area, doing a job that I love. I can be contacted by email: rtlb.rensor@mi.school.nz or mobile 027 5324594.
