Senior Leadership Team
Team Leader Aranui
My name is Kylie Wells and am born and bred in Morrinsville. I came through Morrinsville Intermediate and College before gaining my Bachelor of Education through Massey University in Palmerston North. I then returned back to my home town where I taught for nearly 7 years at David Street School before marrying and having my own two beautiful girls. I went on to teach locally in a variety of roles including 7 years at Springdale School.
I am actively involved in many aspects of our beautiful town, particularly in sports where I play basketball, volleyball and netball. When I am not teaching your wonderful children I am normally outdoors with my whanau enjoying bushwalks and bike riding. I love to participate in adventure races and team events with friends and enjoy challenging myself and my students to try new things and give everything their best effort.
Feel free to pop in to Room 4 and introduce yourself, I look forward to meeting you.
Assistant Principal & Team Leader Tainui
My favourite quote is ‘Life is a journey, not a destination’ and in my teaching career I can honestly say that I have been on an incredible journey of learning many new things and I am still learning.
I am passionate about teaching, particularly Literacy, Maths, and The Arts. During my time here at Morrinsville Intermediate I have been fortunate to have made many life-long friends, have enjoyed working alongside some great teachers, experienced two school exchange trips to Japan and one to Noumea and I thoroughly enjoy teaching a great bunch of students from the Morrinsville area.
I look forward to meeting with you all.
Team Leader Aotea
Kia Ora, my name is Shane Day; I have lived in Waikato for a big part of my life. I have two daughters, one attends Morrinsville College and the other in her first year at University. I am looking forward to the move to Mighty Morrinsville. I have been teaching for 20 years, previously teaching at Berkley for ten years.
A strength I bring to the classroom is building positive relationships with my students and developing the skills to manage their own behaviour and learning. My greatest joy as a teacher is watching students' confidence and self-belief grow. I encourage my students to discuss, share opinions and express their ideas. I take pride in creating a classroom environment where students are engaged in many learning opportunities while allowing students to flourish as individuals.
I look forward to meeting you all.
Team Leader Technology

I am a local Martial Arts instructor, and have also been heavily involved with the performing arts over the years.
I look forward to meeting you all this year!
